Sizing Guide

Two decisions matter most when choosing your extensions: how long, and how much. This guide walks you through both.

Step One

Choose your length.

We offer three lengths: 18″, 20″, and 22″. Each is measured from the top of the weft to the tip.

  • 18″ — Sits around mid-back on average heights. The most natural-looking option and the easiest to maintain.
  • 20″ — Falls a few inches below mid-back. The most popular length for adding noticeable length while remaining easy to live with.
  • 22″ — Reaches lower-back territory. The most dramatic option, ideal for clients who want maximum length.

Note: Ginger is available in 18″ and 22″ only.

Things to consider

  • Your starting length — going from shoulder-length to 22″ reads as dramatic; going from mid-back to 22″ reads as subtle
  • Your face shape and overall proportions
  • Your lifestyle — longer extensions require more daily upkeep
  • How you typically style your hair

Step Two

Decide how many wefts.

Each weft is 50g of premium human hair, sold individually so you can build exactly the look you want. As a general guide:

  • 2 weftsa half install. Adds volume, dimension, or a touch of length.
  • 3 wefts — a full install. The standard for a complete, blended look on most heads.

The right amount depends on your natural hair density and the look you're after.

Fine to medium hair

  • For added volume only: 2 wefts
  • For a full install (volume and length): 3 wefts

Medium to thick hair

  • For a full install: 3 wefts
  • For a dramatic length change: 4-5 wefts

Very thick or very long hair

  • For a full install with proper blending: 4-5 wefts
  • For complete transformation: 6 wefts

These are guidelines, not rules. Every head of hair is different, and your stylist's eyes-on assessment is always more accurate than any chart.

Step Three

Work with a stylist.

A licensed extension stylist is your best resource for an exact recommendation. They can see your hair in person, assess your density and condition, and pair you with the right length and pack count for the look you want.
