Who can apply to the Strand Collective?
Licensed cosmetologists in the United States with a valid, current cosmetology license. Newly licensed stylists are welcome. If your license is active, you're eligible to apply.
Why do I have to verify my license?
License verification is standard across professional beauty brands. It confirms you're a licensed stylist so we can extend pricing intended for professionals, and it keeps that pricing meaningful for the stylists who've earned it. Verification only happens once.
How does professional pricing work?
Once your account is verified, professional pricing on Seamless wefts, Butterfly wefts, and K-Tips appears automatically whenever you're signed in, on every product page and at checkout. There's no code to apply and no minimum order to unlock it.
Do I need to be approved to buy the color ring?
No. The color ring is $99 for everyone, and it comes with a $50 credit toward your next hair order of $300 or more. Approval is only needed for professional pricing on hair.
Can my client buy hair from you directly?
Yes, at retail pricing. What she can't buy is the consultation, the shade match, or the install, and those are what determine whether extensions look right and last. Most clients who price it out find that working with their stylist is the better decision.
What makes Seam & Strand hair different?
Every weft is 100% European hair, single donor and double drawn. Single donor means all the hair comes from one person, so the cuticle runs in one direction and it behaves like one head of hair. Double drawn means the strands are sorted to nearly the same length, so the ends stay thick and full instead of thin and wispy.
What's expected of me as a member?
Represent Seam & Strand with the same professionalism and honesty you bring to your own clients, maintain a valid cosmetology license, and use our brand assets as provided. We keep it simple and built on trust.
