We want you to love your Seam & Strand extensions. Because hair extensions are a personal-care product — sealed for hygiene and quality — our return and exchange terms are specific. Please read them before ordering, and reach out anytime if you’d like help choosing your shade.
Returns
We accept returns on unopened product within 14 days of delivery. To qualify, the item must be in its original state: unopened, with the hang tag intact, the extensions still secured, and all packaging undisturbed. A 20% restocking fee applies to returns, and return shipping is the customer’s responsibility. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Color Exchanges
If your shade isn’t quite right, you may exchange it for a different color within 14 days of delivery — as long as the product is in its original state, with the hang tag intact and the extensions secured. There is no restocking fee on exchanges. You cover return shipping to send the original back, and we’ll ship your replacement shade at no additional shipping cost. If the new shade is priced differently, we’ll simply charge or refund the difference. We’re glad to help you get the color right.
Final Sale
For hygiene reasons, the following cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Any product that has been opened, used, washed, cut, or color-treated
- Made-to-order shades from our Reserve range
- Clearance items
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, email us at hello@seamandstrand.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and a photo. We’ll make it right with a free replacement or a full refund, including shipping. These cases are not subject to the restocking fee or return shipping costs.
How to Start a Return or Exchange
- Email hello@seamandstrand.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number, and let us know whether you’d like a return or a color exchange.
- We’ll confirm eligibility and send you a return authorization along with the return address.
- Ship the item back in its original packaging using a tracked and insured method. Returns sent without authorization can’t be processed.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll process your refund to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Any applicable restocking fee will be deducted, and original shipping is non-refundable. You’ll receive an email when your refund is on its way.
